This page contains all the useful information for installing PEPsal.
PEPsal can be installed on any number of machines. If it installed on one side of a link, the TCP connections will be accelerated only in one way. If it is installed on both ends of the link (symmetrical PEP), the TCP connections will be accelerated both ways.
PEPsal is distributed in debian packages compatible with Ubuntu versions 14.04 and 16.04.
For any other distribution/version, the source code is available for compilation.
PEPsal is distributed via debian packages, stored in the Net4Sat depository.
To get these packages, add this repository to the APT sources list:
echo "deb http://packages.net4sat.org/opensand trusty stable" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opensand.list
echo "deb http://packages.net4sat.org/opensand xenial stable" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/opensand.list
Update the apt cache after adding the new repository, and install the pepsal package:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install pepsal
After installation, pepsal should be running in background as a service. For more information about configuration and use, refer to the user manual
